Nutwell School
|
Nutwell School is part of the Historic Village at Herrington Harbour North. Marina owners, E. Steuart and Hamilton Chaney have generously provided needed repairs to the building, including a new roof, electrical wiring, heating and cooling, and plaster walls. Thanks to them, we now have a place to store and display our collection of Deale area artifacts.

The Nutwell School, built in 1885, is the only one room school of its kind in Anne Arundel County to be restored and open to the public. In addition to the Deale area museum, we have re-created a portion of the building to represent an early one room school. Please visit us on Sunday afternoons from 1-4 p.m. May – October, or call 410-867-4911 for an appointment.
